Are You Living with ALS and Interested in Participating in Research?
We are currently recruiting individuals living with ALS to take part in a research interview study and earn up to $250.
About the Study
This study aims to better understand what it is like to live with ALS, including the symptoms, impacts, and day-to-day experiences that matter most to people living with the disease. The study will also evaluate how ALS is measured in clinical research and explore how digital tools may help capture meaningful aspects of the lived experience.
Why Participate?
Your experiences can help shape the future of ALS research. By sharing what matters most to you, you can help researchers ensure that clinical trials and other studies measure outcomes that reflect the real-world impact of ALS.
What Does Participation Involve?
Participation includes:
- Asking your doctor to provide confirmation of ALS diagnosis through a secure portal
- Taking part in up to two remote interviews, each lasting approximately 60 minutes
Note: Interviews will be conducted virtually in English, and necessary accommodations can be made to support participation, including for individuals who use assistive breathing or communication technologies.
Who Can Participate?
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are an adult living with ALS (genetic or sporadic) and reside in the United States,
- Have been experiencing ALS symptoms for 36 months or less, and
- Are able to participate in virtual interviews in English. Interviews can be completed using a computer, laptop, or tablet, and accommodations are available to support participation.
Compensation
Participants will receive $50 for providing documentation confirming their ALS diagnosis and $100 for each completed interview, for a total of up to $250.
