CFAST is an initiative formed in June 2012 to accelerate clinical research and medical product development by creating and maintaining data standards, tools and methods for conducting research in therapeutic areas that are important to public health. CFAST was initiated as a partnership between CDISC and the Critical Path Institute (C-Path). Since launching CFAST, CDISC and C-Path have worked to expand the Therapeutic Area Program Steering Committee (TAPSC) to ensure input from US FDA, the National Cancer Institute Enterprise Vocabulary Services (NCI EVS) and TransCelerate BioPharma. CDISC also initiated the CFAST Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), which brings advice from the TAPSC organizations and also Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and the Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO).
CFAST Mission:
