Jackson Burton, PhD
Jackson Burton, PhD, is the Executive Director of the Quantitative Medicine Program at the Critical Path Institute. Dr. Burton is an applied mathematician by training from University of Arizona where he focused on quantitative modeling of drug transport in solid tumors. Dr. Burton worked in industry settings conducting modeling and statistical analyses for a variety of mission-driven open questions in oncology and business decision science. As leader of the Quantitative Medicine team at C-Path, he is overseeing the development of quantitative solutions for a variety of disease areas including neurological disorders, immunology and inflammation, rare diseases, and pediatrics. Such solutions include clinical trial simulation tools, model-based biomarkers tools, machine learning and AI for remote monitoring technology in movement disorders, and evidence generation from real-world data. Additionally, he is an active participant of multiple initiatives through public-private partnership focused on bolstering model-informed drug development.
